The Bike project received funding as part of Cicely Northcote's focus on projects which enabled refugees and asylum seekers to access support and information.
The project was to refurbish bikes for refugees and asylum seekers in London to provide cheap and reliable transport to access vital resources such as health care education, English classes and support groups. The project also provided the beneficiaries with affordable transport as they have very little or no money and it’s a healthy way of travel and also provided training and skills in bike maintenance. The project, based in Southwark received funding for a year.
